We have Zen running on Xen 6.5 with no issues. I can’t remember whether I built
with the other install or told it to use the Debian 6 template as that is what
Zen runs on.
Looking at my notes all I had to do to get it to install was:
apt-key adv --fetch-keys
http://http.debian.net/debian/dists/squeeze-lts/Release.gpg
vi /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://http.debian.net/debian/ squeeze-lts main contrib non-free
deb-src http://http.debian.net/debian/ squeeze-lts main contrib non-free
#deb http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates main
#deb-src http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates main
apt-get update
apt-get install xen-linux-system
apt-get upgrade
#Mount xen tools iso in cd drive
mkdir /mnt/cdrom
mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
dpkg -i xe-guest-utilities_6.XXXXX_i386.deb
umount /mnt/cdrom
shutdown -r -t 0 now
#Eject xen tools iso
All the best,
Colin Waring.

Subject: [Zenloadbalancer-support] Installation of Zen Loadbalancer 3.05
community on to Xenserver 6.5
Hi,
I'm trying to get this installed on to Xenserver 6.5 but the only way so far is
to use 'other install' method but this doesn't allow me to install Xentools at
all so I don't get the ability to suspend or do other VM functions. If I try
to use a template (Debian wheezy 32bit) it won't recognise the install and
won't proceed.
So, does anyone know how I can do this so I can get the advantages of a VM
install?
Thanks,
Chris
