I'm currently evaluating the EE 4.1 virtual appliance version, and so
far I'm having pretty good success, though I have a question and
problem that may have been a bug (unsure).

Question: Are there plans (and what would be the potential
difficulties) to add support for Farmguardian-type checks for the GSLB
farms? I need to be able to properly determine if a backend system is
not functioning (versus just a tcp port check) as part of this.

Two potential issues (again EE 4.1):
1) When I attempted to rename a https -based Farm, it failed to
restart and refused to start back up. This lead to some weird
troubleshooting where it almost appears that the primary node took
over the MAIN IP for the secondary (vs. a VIP). I've been able to
reproduce this.

2) The TCP port check for m¥ test GSLB service doesn't appear to do
anything. I have (3) backend servers and only one has the port
listening and yet DNS queries report back all three systems in a
round-robin. This is the exact opposite of what I was expecting for
behavior so I'm not sure if it is a bug or not.

If you need to contact me directly, I'm evaluating these for my
company and that email address used for the evals is
'cyoung@(NOSPAM)passur.com'.

Please take out the (NOSPAM), but let me know if there is somewhere I
can file a ticket or get some evaluation support as I'm getting really
close to needing to make a decision on purchases a couple of physical
appliances as well as some virtual editions.

Thanks,

Chris
