I feel a bit cheeky weighing in on this as I don't actually use Zen load
balancer but happen to be on the mailing list as I was looking for a PEN
mailing list...
Anyway what version of Pound do you guys use?
When Pound went to 2.6+ I think they moved from a dynamic threading model
to one where you need to set the number of threads, when this happened and
I upgraded a site I manage I hit performance issues and needed to manually
increase the thread count beyond the now default.
Obviously this may be done already with Zen or you may have a different
Pound version but for reference it's mentioned here :
