Same here, I can get devices to log to another host just fine but how do
I enable the syslog server functionality of Zenoss, if there is one or
do I have to feed it the logs from something like a local copy of Syslog-ng?

To log from remote unix machine add the following to /etc/syslog.conf
*.info @your.zenoss.box
for local box I'm not quite sure how to this... anybody?

Hi All
Just a usage question on Zenoss , the admin guide does not really
help much in this instance.
The program is installed now without any problems but I cannot get
zensyslog to log syslog events from the local machine it runs on or a
remote machine monitored by snmp ?
What must one do do get the zen server to log syslog for remote
servers or even just the local system ?
I do see events on the local zen box for when a zen service stop or
starts but that’s it.
