It sounds like a permissions problem, similar to what I had.  If you are running the install script under the 'zenoss' user then the zenoss user will need permission to create subdirectories in your installation directory.  You can easily do this by changing the ownership of the installation directory to 'zenoss'.

PS I actually use Debian's testing distribution to install Mysql 5.

PYTHONPATH and PATH are defined too ,   hm i have missed somethings but i don't know what ? :(
