Well just to give you an idea this is a the check command for our
Nagios
with Gnokii , all you do is take the variables and pipe it to the
gnokii
sendsms command.
I will have to research if it supports snpp , but it is such a simple
operation to send a notification via gnokii.
command_line /usr/bin/printf '$NOTIFICATIONTYPE$: $HOSTALIAS$:
$HOSTNAME$: $HOSTADDRESS$: $SERVICEDESC$ is $SERVICESTATE$' |
usr/bin/gnokii --sendsms $CONTACTPAGER$ --long 400

Philip,
This would be cool to have. Does Gnokii support snpp? If so you can
just point to that and it should work. Or is it like mailx where you
just call a command line program. If so that would be easy to add
as an option. I have no idea about doing this with sendpage.

Hi Everybody
I've been palying with sendpage trying to get it to do what I'm
use to
doing.
I use to use Gnokii with manual commands to send out my notifications
through a gsm directly connected to /dev/ttyS0.
Zenoss use sendpage to send pages to pagers , does anyone know or
have
already done it where u setup sendpage to send the message directly
to a
gsm modem where u just specify a phone number it must go too.
IF not where can one modify zenoss to use a custom gnokii command to
send that sms ?
Guys any help appreciated here since this is something that is a
critical element of our notifications.
Kind Regards
Philip
