Hi juergen,

Yes, SNMP Traps come in as events.

Make sure that your appliance is in bridged network mode or trap packets won't ever get to your appliance.

You can test SNMP traps by restarting the snmp server on the appliance. Log into the appliance as root:

   # /etc/init.d/snmpd restart

You should get a trap for shutdown and start-up.

hello!

I want to use SNMP Traps.
I've downloaded the vm-appliance and started it.
all works fine, but I can't see any SNMP Trap.
Where have SNMP Trap Receiver and zenoss-processing be enabled and configured?

How can I test it?
where should I see SNMP-Traps? Is it displayed as an event?

thx.
juergen
