Hi Clayton,

Do:

$ ps auxww | grep zenping

You are probably running a zenping process, but Zenoss has lost track of
it. You can kill the one that's running, and start one up through the
About page.

The zenping process shows up as stopped under the About page on the

Seems like when zenping is stopped, Zenoss doesn't detect when a
        host
goes down and thus does not alert via email.
Anyone got any ideas? Thanks,
        Clay
