Any ideas at all.... -----Original Message----- From: Ryon McMahon Sent: Wednesday, January 17, 2007 11:55 AM To: '[email protected]' Subject: Virtual Appliance
Using the VM appliance to evaluate Zenoss. I'm trying to configure it to send e-mail alerts, relay through my internal e-mail server, but I only receive the following error: Test failed: socket.gaierror (-2, 'Name or service not known') I have modified /etc/postfix/main.cf to include: myhostname = host mydomain = domain.com inet_interface = 127.0.0.1 relay_host = 192.168.0.25 And restarted postfix. The web interface settings for SMTP host are set to "localhost" and I've updated the e-mail address under the admin preferences. I have also configured my Exchange server to allow relays from the Zenoss server IP. Any ideas would be helpful. Thank you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The information contained in this e-mail and any attachments is to be considered legally privileged and confidential.
