I am completely new not only to Linux but Zenoss, I have installed Syslogagent on a windows server and it is sending events to zenoss-ip:514 but I really do not know how to configure on the Zenoss server, I dont know what I have to change in the configuration to get it to work the help files assume some knowledge that I just dont posses. What do I need to do from the Linux Console or the about configurations on the Zenoss GUI , I am completely lost.
Zenoss comes with a Windows monitoring service called ZenWin. I'd recommend installing this on one of your Windows systems and letting it forward your eventlogs to Zenoss. It is much easier because you only have to install it one one Windows system.
