I have a couple of Nagios checks that I've configured. One of them is a check I wrote and the other one uses check_http. For the most part, they work pretty well. The problem is I'm getting a lot of alerts for "Command timed out on device ...". Usually, they clear five minutes later.
At the time I'm receiving the alerts, the load on the Zenoss box is normal and a manual run of the check works fine and responds nearly immediately. This is happening on both of the checks and I haven't been able to determine why. I've tried setting parallel 4 in zencommand.conf, but it hasn't helped.
