Hi Ian,
Thanks for the response. I ran the modeler from the command line as
suggested and found it hanging on the InformantHardDiskMap command. I
put that on ignore and ran it again and it was able to complete after
that. I discovered the same for my other 2 servers that were timing
out. Thanks much for the tip, it is appreciated.

Dan,
1. Make sure that the zProperty zSnmpVer is set to "v1" and
zSnmpCommunity is set to "public" for the devices.
2. Did the devices in question model properly? If so, try setting
zMaxOIDPerRequest for the devices to something lower.
3. Try running the daemon in the foreground in debug mode:
zenperfsnmp run -v10 -d <zenoss device name>
and sending the ouput.

Hi,
I am having some issues collecting the information for a couple of
our servers. They are running Ubuntu 6.10 (Dapper) with snmpd
running. When it tries to collect the information, it times out.
When I do an snmpwalk -c public -v 1 server it comes back with the
information just fine. We do not seem to have anything firewalled
that would be preventing this, although maybe I am missing something
that Zenoss needs. Has anyone ran into this issue and was able to
fix it? Any suggestions or ideas on where to go with this? A couple
other servers were able to collect the information just fine.
