This is all done via the class tab. Go to class above FreeBSD and in the class tab, select/tick Freebsd. Then at the bottom should be a button called "Move", next to that is a drop down menu where you can select where to move the that class to in the tree and then click move once selected.

Thanks.. but if I am not mistaken, you just described how to move a 'class'
I am asking how to move a device.

I eneded up rebuilding and starting over, so the old problem is moot.. but here is a new problem..

I have 'discovered' some devices which I am trying to move out of 'discover' class into their respective classes such as /network/ router/cisco

So I click on classes, click on /discovered and get my list
I 'tick' the router device and select /network/routers/cisco from the dropdown and click on 'move'.. but it doesn't move.. I just get all of the devices in the /Discovered class again

Am I doing something wrong?

Not to be silly, but are you using Opera? Although it's my favorite browser it doesn't work with Zenoss. So for any Zenoss administration tasks I have to use Firefox.

Thanks,
Will

Thanks
alan
