Thanks for the pointer! I had a look around on the servers that were having issues - all seem to have DCOM enabled, and the services in the state documented. THere were a few exceptions - it appears that the "Server" service is running in most cases, but the Wiki page describes that it "does not need to be installed or running".
Am I reading in-between the lines too much if I say that it DOESN'T say you shouldn't have it running? :) Anyhow.. moving on.. I changed the username in Zenoss to ".\zenoss" - this is the local account I made on the zenwin server. This resulted in a long series of access denied messages, in addition to one "still collecting" message as I had indicated in my first post in this thread. Oddly enough, the servers that are listed in the "still collecting" message have changed Setting the username back to network\zenoss (domain account), or even network\zadmin (another domain admin account) eliminates the Access Denied messages, but still sitting at the same place as far as WMI success. Oh, forgot to mention above - the domain admin account is listed as a member of the Administrators group on all servers. I'm pretty sure I'm not seeing the service issue that is described in the last paragraph, since I am getting events for the 1 server. Anything else to try? I'm really keen on getting this to work ... :) Thanks (again) in advance, Tim -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=4992#4992 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
