Hi,
I have installed zenoss on OpenBSD and without any customization it is
roughly ~400MB. I think OpenBSD, or some debian based installations
would be the best fit for zenoss because of the stability, the security
and the easy ports and packages interface.
I don't think a live cd is best route though.I propose that instead we
build an iso that does a semi automated install: installs the base OS
and the necessary packages including zenoss. this however may have
implications on zenoss developmend, build and release processes. If the
zenoss team is interested in enlisting me to help out with this, please
contact me on or off list and we can further discuss the implications,
requirements, etc.
