Good morning... I've got a few machines that reboot on a staggered schedule between 4 and 5 AM on a daily basis. These machines are Windows Server 2003 SP1 machines, and are monitored without any issue throughout the day (basically, everything is working fine so far).
I put these machines in a class by themselves (/windows/servers/windows/citrix), and set a maintenance window under the "Manage" tab (as per TFM), but it doesn't seem to inherit to the device - when I click on the device, under the "manage" tab, I don't see the maintenance period listed. Tried moving, and moving the device back into the class, no dice... tried removing and re-adding the device alltogether, and it still didn't show that it was inheriting the maintenance window. So, I let it go overnight... maintenance does occur (the device doesn't get monitored for the hour window that is specified), but I still get emails n such with the devices reboot. My notification settings say only be alerted on "Production" items - so its almost as if the devices partially switch to maintenance (monitoring stops), but not really (alerts and ping tests don't stop). Am I missing something for setting up a maintenance window for a group of devices? -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=5252#5252 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
