I also just did a fresh install of Zenoss on Ubuntu 6.10 server ang got the exact same problem. I used the install guide for Ubuntu, however being the complete noob at Linux that I am I encoutered a couple off problems in the guide that may have borked my install?
There are two things I did different, and that is how the Mysql password was set, I was unsure where to put the init script so I made a root password for Mysql manualy. And second, when starting ./install.sh I ran into a permission problem, so I used root to make the zenoss folder and changed the permission on the folder to my zenoss user with chown. Apart from that, its done by the book. But since im a complete newbi and lack alot of fundamental skils with Linux I have no idea where to start resolving this issue. Thanks in advance :) ------------------------ Kai -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=5284#5284 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
