Why do some services give you the option of a drop down menu to change the monitoring from true to false and some do not? I set it globally but in the device I can't change it to true so it monitors it...any ideas. Thanks for the info below, I was wondering how to do this.

So here is the solution and explination for future refrence. First increase zIpServiceMapMaxPort to the highest port number you wish to monitor. If Zenoss finds the ports it dynamically generates entries for those services in the catalog. Clicking on then as if to turn on monitoring will give you a link to /Service/tcp_#####. form there you can edit it and rename the service and save it in the catalog.
