The trunk is the bleeding edge! 1.1.1 is indeed the latest stable release; the trunk, on the other hand, changes hourly, and can break from time to time. The trunk is labeled version 1.2 because that's the version toward which we're currently working.

If the trunk isn't working properly, first update the code:

$ cd $ZENHOME/Products
$ svn up

Then run a migrate:

$ zenmigrate run

That will most likely take care of any blatant problems; we try not to check in completely broken code. That is not, however, a guarantee. If some bug persists, definitely hit the zenoss-users and/or zenoss-dev mailing lists to see if there's a solution and let us know what we need to fix. If this is for a production environment, in which stability is a necessity, you will probably be better off running a stable release.

I did the trunk install. I think I am going to wipe that install and install
with the tar. I don't know why my Zenoss Verson is 1.2 when the latest version
is 1.1.1
