Zakir,

Well if its convince for the user you are after, you can create a "System" for every device and call each "System" the hostname of the server. Then go to each device and on the Edit tab and assign each device to your specific "System".

Its not very logical, because the System grouping was intended to be used as a logical grouping. But it sounds like that would fulfill your needs.

Thanks,

Hi Daniel,
Thank you for your advice. I realize that it is possible to list all of the
devices from that section. My hope was to list them on the dashbaord so that
when a user logged in, they wouldn't have to navigate to the devices page and
just be able to click on the particular device they wanted to look at from the
start... It's more of a convenience for our users than a problem.

Zakir,

There are ways, but the fastest way, if your just interested in seeing a list of your
devices would be to just click on the "Devices" button on the left-hand menu.
It will give a full listing of your Devices and if their IPs and if there are any events
related to those devices.

If this is not what you need, you can create a System group and stick all of your devices into that system using the "Edit" page of every device. But still yet, you would have to click on that System group to see a listing of all your devices.
On a side note, if any of your devices have events, reguardless if they are in
a grouping or not, they will be listed on the Dashboard under the right-hand
column under Devices with Events.

Hope this helps,

-Daniel

        Hi Everyone,

Is it possible to add a list of all the devices to the dashboard as a
customization? I've spent a good amount of time trying to edit the dashboard
page, but without much luck. We only have around 20 servers that we're
monitoring and it would save us a lot of time to just be able to pick a server
directly from the first page at which you arrive. I'm just wondering if anybody
else has been able to do this or if there is a quick solution.

        Thanks!

        Zakir
