This thread is probably a good place to report about the ongoing packaging for
Zenoss for Debian.
The Debian package I'm workign on will use the Zope product/instance handling
infrastructure of Debian. There're a fwe things in the debhelper and dzhandle
tools missing to do so, but I'[m allready working on those functions. Writing
{pre,post}{install,rm} scripts for Zenoss only would not be less work then
extending the allready avaiable helpers. The goal is that `apt-get install
zenoss` will be enough to get zenoss installed and running on the amchine.
Unfortunately there's still a lot of work wating.
In case anybody out there would liek to help with the packaging - I'm looking
for somebody who would like to write the manpages for all the tools like
zendisc. Most of those scripts need to be rewritten to be happy in /etc/init.d
and /usr/bin, also.
