I've run into a problem while trying to get zenwin working on a
windows 2003 host. I never did get zenwin working, so I just shut down
the 2003 box and deleted the node from my zenoss console. (I'm running
the zenoss vmware appliance BTW). So, the device is out of the console,
the device is shutdown but I'm still getting console events for it of
"zenwin heartbeat failure".
I've restarted all of the zen process's, restart the zenoss box
entirely, waited for 5 hours thinking it would clear up but I'm still
getting errors in the console for a nonexistant device! Anyone have any
insight or another place I could start looking?

Jason,

This is a common problem. Once Zenoss gets heartbeat from a device it
expects to keep receiving it until the end of time. If you go into
"Event Manager" and "Clear Heartbeats" it will forget about them and
stop complaining.
