I'm brand new to the system admin gig and have pretty much been thrown deep
into the mix. I'm currently trying to manage a wreck of a QA lab and the 1st
step would be an inventory and monitoring tool. I've installed the default
SNMP tool from my windows server install disks but the only computer I can
get Zenoss to recognize when trying to add a server is the server running
Zenoss. All other computers error out saying "no snmp found for ip =(fill in
the blank)". I'm hazy when it comes to configuring SNMP and Trap so any
assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

Tim,

The first thing to check is the SNMP access controls. These can be
found on tabs of the SNMP service's properties. Make sure that your
Zenoss server has read-only access to every Windows server. You should
also install the free SNMP-Informant MIB extension to get performance
monitoring support.
