Well it was my mistake. I got the same output as your self. However, I cannot see anything listening on port 3306. I have a firewall enabled on the server. However, I have already opened the port 3306 in the firewall. /etc/hosts contains the entry localhost.localdomain. Can't understand what could be the problem.
Nitesh, MySQL might be configured to to listen on a TCP port. Check your /etc/my.cnf file for a line that says skip-networking, and ccomment it out. After you restart the mysql service you should see it listening on port 3306. -- Chet Luther [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
