Package your aps up as MSI's and push them out via Group Policy.
Unfortunately I've not figured out how to push SNMP since it's an optional
windows component. If you copy the install files to every machine, it
shouldn't be problem though.

If you're using DHCP for the desktops, forget about monitoring them. Zenoss
monitors IP Addresses.

Subject: [zenoss-users] Deploying SNMP agents over a large network

Hello everyone:

I've been looking for a transparent deployment of the snmp service but no
luck.

I really dun have the time to install the service+snmp informant in 500+
PC's and servers before a deadline my company gave me.

I've been using it for a while on a testing enviroment but there was only
10 devices to play with...now im going for the big shot.

I know there are commands to install services from remote locations, but im
being challenged by a microsoft solution called SMS server...it installs a
client silently anywhere you want (of course killing bandwidth i guess). I
would like to offer my company something closer to this and open source.

Thanks for the time reading this [Wink]
