ikenticus, Are you both retrieving and updating via XMLRPC? One of the things I am looking for is a high level API to Zenoss. Basically, Zenoss does a great job of autodiscovery, I would love to be able to query Zenoss and get a XML file of what it is currently in its database.
The documentation I looked at doesn't really mention it, but I guess getting everything in Zenoss is possible via XMLRPC? http://dev.zenoss.org/trac/wiki/DeveloperZone Of course command line tools would also be awesome! On 4/24/07, ikenticus <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
I can't speak for anyone else, buy my preference is that all Zenoss options can be scripted via command line...the gui is great for viewing, but for all of our automated processes via cfengine, it would be better if it were scriptable. I've found that 90% of zenoss is probably updateable via REST/XMLRPC, but there are some minor pieces missing here and there --- and that odd programming where the device/organizer functions use individual parameters instead of a dict/tuple/hash. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=5915#5915 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
