I want to be alerted via email if something goes wrong. I can receive the test email. But when I setup an alert to mail when a server is down I dont recieve any mail when a server is down. Server went down and zenoss noted it, but no email. Options at edit tab off the alert: Delay (secs): 0 enabled: true action: email where: device contains "elka" (is this case-sensitive?) Schedule, I dont know if anything should be setup here? Name alert Start 2007/04/24 00:00:00.000 n Duration 24:00 Repeat Daily Enabled? True If I dont add a schedule or disable it, will zenoss normally mail always when somethings goes wrong?
I think the WHERE clause is case sensitive. Try changing the filter to a device class instead of a "contains." Zenoss will send an alert if no schedule exists. -- Chet Luther [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
