I'm trying to install Zenoss on a Ubuntu 7.04 Server machine. I can get to right after install.sh completes (i think). It prompts me for the MySQL root password, I put it in, it attempts to put in the initial database but it fails for some reason. MySQL is running, and I am 100% sure the password is right as it was installed for this sole purpose.
Jacob, Try setting your MySQL root password to nothing before installing Zenoss. You can set it back afterwards. The reason for doing this is that Zenoss installs some triggers which requires super-user privileges in MySQL. You should still create a separate account in MySQL for zenoss with a password. This is the info you should enter into the installer. -- Chet Luther [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
