How does this work... does zensyslog.py listen in the place of the normal syslogd or does it somehow read the various logfiles looking for entries it recognizes. There isn't much documentation so any insight would be appreciated.
Todd, It binds to the standard syslog port, 514/udp. If you have another centralized syslog solution running on the same machine that you're interested in keeping you can specify "syslogport ###" in your $ZENHOME/etc/zensyslog.conf file to make it run on another port. You can then use your other syslog service (syslog-ng, etc) to forward logs to this port. -- Chet Luther [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
