Hi Carl, If the PDU supports telnet, you could do an expect script and run it from Zenoss to reset power on a down server.

Alright, I've moved onto making events do things. Although I see very clearly how to run a command on a node during an event, what about the situation where a machine goes down and you want Zenoss to do something? For example: In the event that a machine goes down, I want to run a script to reboot the machine by telneting to a PDU and sending commands to "reset" the power. Basically, I will need to run that script on the localhost or some other host that is still running.
