Hi,

I am trying to monitor various "Os processes" on servers.
For instance, I monitor the status of the process "httpd" with the regex
".*httpd.*".

The status of this process on the device appeared first when I did a complete
"Remodeling" of the device. (Manage Tab => Collect Configuration)...

I was surprised that ZenOss recognized "Apache.exe" as a "httpd" process.
Question 1:
How do that function ? Are they aliases everywhere ?

Then I stopped the process "Apache.exe" on the monitored Windows Server. But
after on hour the process status in Zenoss did not change from "Up" to "Down".
It's only after 6 hours that the status changed (When Zenoss does a complete
auto-remodeling of the device). It seems that the status of a process is quite
static.

Question 2:
Is it possible to say that Zenoss should check the status of the "httpd"
process regularly (without doing a complete remodeling) ?

Question 3:
How often are the "IP Services" checked (http,http_alt,mysql etc.) ? How are
they checked (I use the "snmp" plugin)?

Thanks in advance for your help,

[/u]
