The pcache only buys you a faster startup time on the daemons. I don't
use it for any of the daemons except for zenhub. zenhub will set a
pcache up even if you don't specify it in the config file because it
is somehow used for detecting config changes across restarts.
I tried running pcaches on all of my daemons for a while, but it
didn't appear to provide any benefits.
