I reverted to a 'virgin' snap shot, and started all over again.

Now I'm getting this when starting Zenoss:

--00:08:56--
http://localhost.localdomain:8080/zport/dmd/DeviceLoader/loadDevice?deviceName=localhost.localdomain&devicePath=/Server/Linux
Resolving localhost.localdomain... 127.0.0.1
Connecting to localhost.localdomain|127.0.0.1|:8080... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 401 Unauthorized
Authorization failed.

which I think may be caused by this (which I attempted after starting mysqld):

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# /usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root -h localhost.localdomain
password 'password'
/usr/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost.localdomain' failed
error: 'Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)'

The previous command: /usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root password 'password'
succeeded.

Thanks for any help.

Ken....
