isn't producing any output, and isn't finishing. It's just hanging.
Any idea what it is trying to do, or what might be wrong?

That particular command doesn't have anything to do with backing
Zenoss up. It kicks off a modeling pass to catch any changes that have
occurred on your monitored devices. If you simply leave the zenmodeler
daemon running, this is totally unnecessary.
The best way to back Zenoss up completely is to tar up its entire
directory, and dump the MySQL database as is mentioned in that link.
This makes sure you get a consistent version of your program and data,
along with your RRD performance data and event database.
