Thanks Joe... I added the temp monitor for my netbotz this way, but the problem that I am having is that some of my dell servers have 4 temperature sensors and others have up to 8. Likewise when it comes to monitoring fan RPM some have 6 and others 8 or more. So the problem that I run into is that I would have to have a different device class for each type of hardware. I thought that it might make more sense to write a datacollector plugin and perfsnmp monitor which would monitor the appropriate temperature and fan speeds.

Have you tried to load the Dell Poweredge MIB files and do a snmpwalk to find the temp. This is what I do for temp. http://webaj.com/how-setup-environmental-monitor-zenoss-1-1-2-and-centos -5-0.htm I added a link to the Dell Poweredge MIB files. ------------------------ joe4 -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=6632#6632 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This e-mail contains confidential information and is intended only for the individual named.
