Hello,

I've just installed Zenoss 1.9.6 on a clean CentOS 5. I used the rpm to install
Zenoss and didn't see any errors. I started the snmpd and zenoss service and
could logon to the web-page successfully. I added two users and set their
passwords. Then I rebooted the computer but when the Zenoss service is started,
I get these errors:

Daemon: zenhub starting...
Daemon: zenmodeler starting...
Daemon: zenperfsnmp starting...
Daemon: zenprocess starting...
Daemon: zenping starting...
Error: zensocket needs to be run as root or setuid
Daemon: zensyslog starting...
Error: zensocket needs to be run as root or setuid
Daemon: zenstatus starting...
Daemon: zenactions starting...
Daemon: zentrap starting...
Error: zensocket needs to be run as root or setuid
Daemon: zencommand starting...
Daemon: zenwin starting...
Daemon: zeneventlog starting...
Daemon: zenwinmodeler starting...

On the webpage I get "Lost Connection to Zenoss" so some of the services aren't
started. I checked the /etc/init.d/zenoss skript for that setuid-user, and
zenoss is used. This user is also available in /etc/passwd and I can do a su -
zenoss. Since I couldn't find an additional message in /var/log/messages I
don't know what to do next.

Thank you for any suggestion.
John
