Did you create alerting rules? i.e. Login as the user and select
preferences and configure your Alerting Rules under the Alerting Rules
tab. Beware that in the 1.1.2 branch you cannot filter alerts based on
device class; You will not receive the alert.

Hello List, i've been testing Zenoss for some days and, want to thank
you all that made it possible, is a great project, keep up the good
work!

Im using the VMWARE image

But... i have a problem setting up an Alert by email, the web
interface shows the incident correctly, and i already followed the
instructions according to the Manual but i dont get any alert.

I tried to use the SMTP on the localhost as well on another working
SMTP but no go. I did the email test and i got the email, im able to
send mails using echo "blah" |mail [EMAIL PROTECTED], but not the alert,
i already browsed the list and found some fixes, but i tried them all
and is sitll not working.

Things i tried:

1.- Using another SMTP to send the alerts
2.- Added a Administrator to every device i want to monitor.
3.- Checked UpdateCheck.py , and it doesnt have that code on line 91
that has to be changed.
(something to do with the updating process and zenactions)

So what to do know?
