Thanks, Chet. That fixed it. I added zenoss.snmp.HRFileSystemMap to the zCollectorPlugins of the /devices/server class, and then re-modelled the servers and the total bytes available for filesystems on the servers appeared. The bytes used/free information took several minutes to appear.
