chrisv, Adding additional zenperfsnmp daemons on the same machine isn't going to help your situation. zenperfsnmp is a very high performance SNMP polling system, but it is almost always limited by the amount of RAM on your system. Once your perf directory exceeds the size of your available RAM (for file system caching) you're continually invalidating cache and trashing the disk.
So try to keep your perf directory within the size of available RAM for disk caching. This will keep zenperfsnmp humming along. ------------------------ Chet Luther -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=6851#6851 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
