I guess I am going to ask for some clarification regarding zEventClearClasses, since I see conflicting information in ther forums and in the documentation. In addition to the original post, should I be listing zEventClearClasses in the event class that performs the clear action, or the event class that receives the clear action?
My intention is to have the following event classes: * /Status/Printer/Supplies/tonerEmpty This is where zenperfmon events (I.E. Toner level low) are mapped * /Status/Printer/printerAlert/inputMediaSupplyEmpty * /Status/Printer/printerAlert/markerTonerCartridgeMissing * /Status/Printer/printerAlert/markerTonerEmpty * /Status/Printer/printerAlert/subunitMissing * /Status/Printer/printerAlert/subunitEmpty These are all SNMP trap mappings. Since there is no clear trap sent by the printer, I'd like to have the /Status/Printer/Supplies/tonerEmpty clear event also clear these traps. So do I list each of the traps event classes in the /Status/Printer/Supplies/tonerEmpty zEventClearClasses property, or do I list /Status/Printer/Supplies/tonerEmpty in the zEventClearClasses for the zEvemtClearClasses of each of the trap event classes? ------------------------ James Roman -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=6911#6911 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
