i downloaded the virtual machine for zenoss 1.9.7, i needed to:
# chown root $ZENHOME/bin/zensocket
# chmod uog+rx,u+ws $ZENHOME/bin/zensocket
to get zensocket to run [2]. the instructions refer to building from
source and not the virtual machine. i was wondering if it would it be
possible to add this change to the virtual machine or to the release
notes [1]?
when i add a user, performance or status monitor i get an error
message. are you restricted from adding monitors, users, etc to the
virtual machine? here is an example of the error i receive when i
click on add users [3]:
