thanks for replying, sorry i was gone for a couple weeks, but yes the script is
in the directory

/usr/local/zenoss/libexec/

and i have gotten to the point where it runs and collects data for all my data
points, however it does not appear very stable. I see results graphed in
sparatic patterns, like sometimes it is working and sometimes it isnt. What
factors can effect the shell script from executing every x seconds?

I use the same scrip to check multiple devices but i am not getting consistant
results. It appears that while i am logged into the ssh window and testing the
script it runs fine, for me by command line and from zenoss running it
automatically, but after i stop running it manually it seems it stops running
in zenoss. not sure if there is a corelation here or not but that is what i
keep experiencing, please lend any advice you have to make my command execute
regularly

thanks, Arlen
