Look in the inst/install-functions.sh script. Find the create_database() function, and comment out the section related to "grant all on ....".

Just leave the part that loads up the tables. It doesn't require root access to the database (only zenoss access).

Hi

I have quetion about how Zenoss needs the MySQL root level access for it to add the user and database..Is there way or can you change code in install.sh script so it will not ask you for the root level access to Different machine. Basically I have mysql as different machine and I don't want to give root mysql access to this machine that I am installing Zenoss..I want to use an existing user and database.

Any comment would be help.

Thanks
