I posted to the dev list and found that the behavior from 1.2 to 2.0 has changed. You will need to create a new performance template called propVirtual under the /Devices/Network device class. If you leave this empty the virtual interfaces will no longer have any OIDs monitored. I found that in order for zenoss to pick up the change I had to restart zenoss...
