after some more experirmenting and reserach, i didnt find a clear answer but i did read something that caught my eye.
http://blog.zenoss.com/category/zenoss-software/product-info/ Device Configuration Locking You are now able to lock device configurations to prevent deletion from the configuration.... so I tried it out and locked one of my devices, then did a push changes (which should be titled 'clear zencommand schedule' because that's all I can tell that it does). And the locked device appears to still be running it's datasource commands while all the others have stoped. I will let it run like this over night to see if i still get gaps in the schedule, hopefully that was the problem. Hope my efforts will help someone else if they experience this problem in the future. thanks again for the input! ------------------------ A. G.
