Folks, I'm hoping for some insight into how Zenoss performs the checks for a process on a remote host (a Linux host). I've got Zenoss setup to monitor processes such as httpd and mysql on a couple of remote Linux hosts. I've received a few alerts that these processes have gone down but there is no indication of this on the remote hosts. I'm thinking that these are false positives but want to know how to verify this and correct if needed.
Example of alert: Device: db1.company.com Component: /bin/sh ./bin/mysqld_safe --datadir=/usr/local/mysqldata --pid-file=/usr/local/mysql/db1.pid Severity: Error Time: 2007/06/17 03:00:19.000 Message: Process not running: /bin/sh ./bin/mysqld_safe --datadir=/usr/local/mysqldata --pid-file=/usr/local/mysql/db1.pid Thanks, CD ------------------------ Clayton Dillard -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=7123#7123 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
