Yes it was clearly a mistake that this change made it into the release. I rolled back the standard InterfaceMap so that it works as before and added a new InterfaceAliasMap that uses the shortened name. Here is the patch to get the old behavior.

Hi,
I've just performed Zenoss data migration from 1.1.1 to 2.0. Everything worked fine. But when I performed "Model device" function on routers all interface names were abbreviated. For example FastEthernet0/0 became Fa0/0, Serial0/1/1.50 became Se0/1/1.50 and so on. Unfortunately all performace data (graph contents) are lost. Also setting of zInterfaceMapIgnoreNames is useless now.
Could someone of you explain to me this behaviour?
Thanks a lot.
BTW: Zenoss is really useful tool, thanks.
