I have read a number of posts that address threshold alerts generated as a result of incorrect interface speeds. Wile these solutions stop the alerts from being generated, they do not address the fact that the interface speed is being populated with the wrong speed. This is a problem when I want to generate performance reports.
In my case snmpd on the device is reporting the wrong speed. Unfortunately upgrading snmpd on this device is not an option. Is there a way to set the interface speed manually?
