Running zenoss 2.0.0 on a linux host.

/etc/hosts on the zenoss machine lists both long and short name i.e.

Code:

# hosts
# Syntax:
# IP-Address Full-Qualified-Hostname Short-Hostname

192.168.44.22 myhost myhost.fully.qualified

If I remove the fqdn, zenping is o.k. and the graphs and stats populate but I'd
rather not do that. Also, after the fqdn is removed, I get heartbeat errors
for myhost.fully.qualified but at least the graphs and stats work. Catch 22 it
seems.

Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Mike
