Have you tried the wbemtest to make sure dat the uname you use has the right
privileges?

On my windows 2003 server I had to edit the register as decribed in the
following FAQ
http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/faqs/faq-english/#ZenwinMonitoringWindows

Furthemore in de zProperties there is a parameter zWinEventlogMinSeverity which
hold back event log depending on their sevirity. Scale is 1-5, where 5 are the
least severe log entries. My parameter is set to 5 so I get all the events
logged on my Windows server.

If it is set to high you won't get logs unless it's an error, for testing I
recommend to set it to 5.

Let me know if this helped
